windows 8 on Inspiron 15R

Hi,

I have a dell Inspiron 15R I was resetting it to defaults settings wiping the data and it got stuck and won't turn back on.

I don't have a recovery CD to use it and startup the laptop from it. Where could I download it?I live outside the US and Canada so I couldn't download it using the dell support site.

Please help.

Thanks in advance

Hi zena-K,

I would like to know the system status so that I could check and assist you further.

  • Is the system booting up to Dell logo?
  • Which region are you located?
  • Let us know the exact system model?

Hi,

Any suggestions??

Please note that the windows is giving the error : 0xc0000001.
And when booting in Legacy Mode, I get that no boot device is found.

I appreciate your help.

WHY would you even want Win 8 back? I would go buy a REAL OS like Win 7 or Linux. I tried Win 8/8.1 and found it to be the absolute OS Microsoft has ever focred upon us.

Win 8 looks like some geek in Redmond started out trying to develop an new WINDOWS OS. The he got a new cellphone with the Android OS. He then tried to combine them to create a Windroid OS. I am not even convinced the Android on my Note II is a viable OS but I am convinced Win 8 is totally useless.

Hi zena-K,

I would suggest you to load the BIOS (F2 during startup) to defaults. Also, I would suggest that you run the diagnostics on the computer by following the steps mentioned in the video below and check if there is any issue with the hardware on your system.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay, I did that already everything is working well.

The issue is within the windows 8 recovery, while resetting it it just froze. I couldn't get a recovery disk and I need a way to do so.

Thank you
