Windows Installer preparing to install PhotoGallery???? at startup

The final act of my XP Pro system at startup is to throw up a succession of Windows Installer windows 'configuring for PhotoGallery' and asking for a non-existent CD. I can clear these and proceed as normal, but how can I get rid of them permanently?

This started about a month ago, presumably as a result of an automatic Windows update. (At the same time, I had a series of windows stating that Norton AntiVirus 2005 did not support the repair feature - these have been cleared by uninstalling NIS2005 and reinstalling NIS2006.)

Please can anyone shed any light on this?

I think you need to run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility

You may have to reinstall PhotoGallery after fixing this.

Read the instructions here before using it.  There is a download link too

Just delete the entries for PhotoGallery and no other program

If you use this utility to remove the Windows Installer configuration information for your program and you plan to reinstall the program, you should reinstall the program in the same folder where you originally installed it. This prevents duplication of files on your hard disk

Many thanks, Dunedin. Have been on holiday, just executed msicu and all seems well. Since I don't use PhotoGallery - to the best of my knowledge - I haven't missed it!
