Windows Media Player 11 breaks Roxio Creator
A cautionary tale:
I am service tech and work on LOTS of Dells. Lately I found that when I completed an update of a Dell system, the Roxio (Sonic) Creator software would not work. Closing the app, would generate at least three errors and all would refer to "mediahub.exe" in the Sonic application folder.
I just rebuild another Dell system and found the cause...or so I think. It seems to be Windows Media Player 11. As soon as I installed WMP11, the Sonic app broke. I then used Windows System Restore to remove WMP11 and the problem went away.
By the way, I had exactly the same results with a Sony using the same OEM version of Sonic.
This does not affect the Dell OEM version of Record Now 7.3
Anyone have a fix??
