Windows Media Player icon

A couple of days ago I turned on my computer and all my icons had turned to Windows Media player icons, well not all but most. It's really really strange and I can't figure out why it happened or how to fix it. Maybe I just have to format or defrag, any ideas?

If you're not sure what I mean, take a look at this:

sorry its a BMP, not the most adequate file type to upload but nevermind. Take a look and help me if you can, cuz its really annoying having tons of Media Player icons on your desktop.

It is likely that you have a virus.  Update and scan.

Pengz,

It appears that you are running a Windows 9X operating system. If so, see if the steps here restore your icons.

Eh, whats a 9X operating system? I'm running Windows 2000... and yeah I guess updating and scanning would be a pretty good solution. Thankyou for telling me what I should have thought of anyway *slaps himself*
