Windows Update

My windows vista version is Home premium. There are no updates installed on my system, though it is set to automatically install updates.

Each time I try to check for updates, I get " Error(s) found Code 80072F78".

What does this mean & what's the solution?

Thank you!

If you have tried every solution provided in the link I have given you and it hasn't worked, try doing a system restore back to a date where Windows Update worked. Then, try to update again.

To get to System Restore:

1. Click the start button

2. Type in 'System Restore' in search box that is right under 'All programs'

3. Click on the result of the search

4. Click 'continue'

5. Choose a different restore point

6. Pick whatever date that the Windows Update worked properly

7. Click Next

8. Let System Restore run all the way through. Follow the instructions on the screen.

9. After System Restore is completed, log in to your computer again and try the Windows Updates.

Good luck.
