Windows XP Service Pack 2 and CD R/W Drive

Question

I installed Windows XP Service Pack 2 on my Dell Dimensions w/pentium processer and since that time, I cannot write to my CD Drive.  Windows does not recognize the disk in the drive.  The error message says that there is no CD in the drive.  Can anyone help.

Go into system setup  (BIOS at your startup splash screen and use the entry keystroke usually F2)and reset your data configuration in your BIOS. You may need to get a new drive read so the system recognizes it! Message Edited by JD Scot on 10-19-2004 02:41 PM
