Windows XP slow- Windows file protection pop up

I have begun getting a Window file protection pop up. "Files that are required for Windows to run have been replaced by unrecognized version. To maintain system stability windows must restore the original version. the problem is my origanal version is windows XP Home . the info message tells me to insert XP Professional CD 2.
Which I never had since my restore softwatre is XP home edition Service pack 1. My computer is Dell Inspirion 6000 and the software came pre-installed.

Any ideas as my computer is running very slow and I keep get getting the pop up.

Thanks and Happy Holiday..

Well, this isn't a solution, but here is an explanation. If you don't have an XP installation CD, can you borrow one?

Thanks for the reply!! I have the installation CD for XP Home but for some reason WFP calls for XP Pro.

That's strange. Well as I asked previously, can you borrow XP Pro?
