The following message has been appearing regularly:
RUNDLL
Exception occurred while trying to run C:\Windows\System32\btiein.dll,DOWNLOAD
The above message only appears on my files and not on anyone elses (4). Hope somebody has run into same problem and can help.

You have the Huntbar parasite. See the following:

If you have this, it likely that you have all kinds of other garbage on your computer that you should get rid of. See the following message that is posted at the top of the Virus Information and Removal forum. Spybot and Ad-Aware should remove this, but the pigs that put this stuff out are creating and changing these parasites faster than the removal software can keep up these days.
