XP ATA drive install with No floppy for driver

My Dell Dimension 8400's old ATA drive died, and while installing WIN XP again, it doesn't recognize the new (and only) drive.

It looks like I need to choose F6 to install the ATA driver. I down loaded the ATA driver from the Dell website but it needs to be on a floppy, and !!there's no floppy!! on this machine like many today.

Can I dump it to a USB jumpdrive or what else do I do??

Enter the bios and change the drive controller to RAID Autodetect/ATA, then no driver is needed, XP will see the drive and install without it.

Slipstream it into the XP disc.
