xp crashed!!repair console and half a notion what im doing
im not sure if this is the right place to put this but im not that great with computers in the first place.
basicly im using the repair console after my xp crashed.ive done it before using a microsoft guide and worked no problem.
it happened to me just the other day yet again..
im up to the point where i begin putting in:
md tmp
copy C:\windows...and soforth
when i type in md tmp and press enter the follwing comes up.
a directory or file with the name tmp already exsits
what can i do???is there any hope left??

You should be entering the md tmp at a C:\Windows> prompt. If so, and if the directory already exists, there should be no problem. Continue with the commands (you will be copying files into the C:\Windows\tmp folder for safekeeping and if there is something else already there it should not cause a problem).

Ok i tried again but still nothing.
When i try to start the computer the Dell symbol comes up..then the computer shuts down and starts up again.
When i try in safe mode it come up NDETECT failed very quickly.
I use XP..and i might borrow a gun..

Is it possible that anyone can help me??even Dell havent emailed me back..do i smell or somthing??
