Unable to deploy images after upgrade to 4.0

Hello Community,

I'm unable to deploy/push images to our WES devices after the upgrade of our On-Premise WMS to the 4.0 version.

I' get the following error:

"Internal error. Exception is handled"

Is this issue related to the patch that will be released soon?

WMS Hotfix 4.0.0.540 was released 1-19 for on-premises to address this.

Can you verify that this has resolved your issue?

Feedback from Engineering is that there is an identified issue affecting the imaging of Win10 clients in the 4.0 release for some customers.  I suggest you open a case to get feedback on the timeline for a patch and workarounds.

I have heard some customers successfully work around it by removing any DHC images and packages that may be present in WMS and restarting the server.   This would certainly only be performed after having a successful backup of the server and at your own risk without official guidance by support.

Thanks for the tip however it didn't fix the issue. Furthermore, after the upgrade, I'm unable to pull images getting the following errors:

  • WMS File Repository server not found (error code : 105)
  • Repository validation
  • Could not connect the repository server
  • Check the network connection/authentication

I've also tried in the public cloud with a local repo on a new server just build to test and we got the same issue.

I would definitely encourage you to get a case going for feedback from engineering.

Apologies for my late reply but I confirm that the hotfix fixed every issue mentioned above.

Thanks
