USB Redirection for Jabra Headsets in WMS Admin Policy for Dell 5070 and ThinOS 9.x

Hello,

I'm unsure how to deal with USB redirection.

I have the policy enabled to allow USB redirection in ThinOS 9 Admin Policy Tool and some devices are working well (Logitech webcam) while others aren't (Jabra headsets). The Logitech unit shows up with its actual name and model number in Windows Server 2019 (since I'm using RDP from the Wyse 5070s to connect to Windows), but the Jabra headsets only show up as Remote Audio when I try to set their properties in my VOIP system.

The strange thing is that with an older version of ThinOS (8.x) the Jabra devices were recognized in Jabra Direct (their Windows software for device management) although they wouldn't work in the VOIP program. The Jabra devices work (not very well, possibly a USB redirection issue) in the VOIP system, but they're not recognized by Jabra Direct.

The headsets work properly when used on standalone computers - they're recognized by Jabra Direct to run firmware updates and they're visible in the VOIP program.

I want to add USB redirection manually in the Admin Policy Tool, but I'm not sure if I need to use Force Redirect and how to configure this exactly.

Jabra said this isn't something they can help with. I was given these values to input and I can try them, but wanted to be sure they're done correctly. I'd already tried getting the VID and PID from the Event Log, but it didn't work -Windows didn't detect the devices properly, only as generic, nameless remote devices, but I know it must be able to work properly since an older ThinOS allowed the devices to pass through properly.

I've checked the VMware hypervisor settings and found nothing that would be interfering. I believe the setup in ThinOS is the key to this.

Jabra USB vendor id (vid) is 2830 (0x0B0E)

Link 380 MS USB-C PID is 9418 (0x24CA)

Evolve2 75 MS PID is 9435 (0x24DB)

I think I'm missing some crucial information about USB redirection since I struggled with a scanner for a while and wasn't able to have it recognized, also trying the manual redirection options.

In the Admin Policy Tool, I'd made what I believe are the correct settings for RDP, global, session to allow the USB devices to be passed through to Windows...
