Similar problem. Viewsonic gTablet running Android OS but does not use the market. I tried a workaround by purchasing on my HTC Droid phone, performing a backup and copying to my gTablet. All seems to work until sign on.... alas Pocketcloud complains I now have an unregistered version and refuses to run. Tried uninstalling on the HTC, no help. I think his product is the answer for our office and hospital EMR needs but need a reliable way to purchase the product.
Hi, Thank you for your interest in PocketCloud. PocketCloud is currently available and supported only thru the Android Market. We are relying on Google to expand the availability to more devices/countries in the future.
lana, Unfortunately, this approach leaves you out in the rapidly emerging market of stand alone tablet devices such as the ViewSonic gTablet. This closs of products are not sold through the phone providers suchas the Galaxy and therefore depend on independent providers such as Handango to provide application distribution and sales. For example, I am prototyping the ViewSonic product as a potentiol replacement for our expensive and easily damaged notebook tablets in the medical office and as a possible rollout for our 550 bed hospital.
I urge you to reconsider your decision to lock yourself into only one distribution channel.
