googlemail vs gmail

I have a googlemail account which has now been migrated to gmail but there is a problem.

Pocketcloud expects a gmail account but the Android device (ASUS Transformer) is registered to the googlemail account as are the apps I have paid for, including Pocketcloud.

A factory reset will enable me to re-register the device to the gmail account but I will lose all my apps.

Is there a way around this?

It seems that all that is required is for Pocket cloud to accept either the gmail or the googlemail domain name in the account.

Anyone else found this?
