hostname not working

Question

hostname not working I currently have a rooted device that is connected to my network using an openvpn package. If i run a direct name queary on the device, it shows the ip of the computer correctly. When using the pocketcloud app, i manually configure the computers connection. When using direct ip, it works fine. When using the hostname, it does not.

It sounds as though you may have a issue with NetBIOS. I would suggest just using your ip address unless you can resolve the issue with your NetBIOS.
