Login Failed

I have installed the companion on my pc, but whenever I try to access PC through my samsung charge, i get this message.
'if you are sure your gmail credentials are correct, you may have to sign into gmail through the brower on your device for authorization. this is due to new security steps google has put into place for some gmail accounts.
I have gone into the browser on my device, and have logged into my gmail account. then tried to log into PC and continue to get the same message. any suggestions?
