Pointer disappearing while PocketCloud is in background

Hi,
I've been using PocketCloud to connect to remote desktop at home via port forwarding. I dont install the program on any of my host computers. I am running android 3.2.1 on a sony S tablet.

I've noticed that occasionally when I press the apps key to select another program, Eg. firefox, then going back to pocketcloud some time later, the pointer will disappear, and I cant seem yo get it back. the only buttons present are 1 on the left side to fit the window, and the zoom buttons on the right side. I cant seem to get the pointer back without fully disconnecting, quitting the program, and restarting.

1. Is there a way to bring up the pointer if it's not visible?
2. Is there a reason why the pointer keeps disappearing when it gets sent to the background?
