connecting via autodiscover crashes wyse pocketcloud pro

connecting via autodiscover crashes wyse pocketcloud pro

greetings,

i have a number of devices all with the same affliction.

i have installed the windows companion and linked it to my gmail.com account. i have entered the same information into pocketcloud pro.

when i launch the app on my iPhone 4 I can see my machines online. i have a windows 7 pro and windows 2003 server on my list. when I select either of these machines, i get the "wyse loading" with the spinner, and then the application quits out to the home screen.

i can use pocketcloud pro to connect via RDP to these same machines no problem.

the same issue occurs on my iPad as well as another colleagues iPad.

the same issue occurs on the free version as well as the commercial pro version.

all devices are running the latest iOS 4.2.1.

this is very frustrating! we've all been having this problem over the past few weeks

Device: iPhone 4 and iPad
Device OS version: 4.2.1
Computer OS version: Windows 7 Professional and Window Server 2003 SP2
Connection method: Discovered via WiFi or 3G

is this a known issue? perhaps a compatibility problem with iOS 4.2.1?

cheers, wizdude.

Further investigations on the internet indicates its a Telstra 3G issue (the biggest 3g provider in Australia) I doubt they are going to try too hard to fix the problem so perhaps its up to WYSE to fix the problem if they can.

I have pocket cloud set up and working well with auto discovery (gmail account) when iphone is wireless connected to the internet on every isp and network I have tried. Works very well. However every time i start the pocket cloud app when the iphone is connected through Telstra 3G the remote computer is auto detected as normal but when you connect to it (same as post 1) screen changes to connecting with the spinning loading device spinning for approx 10 seconds then the app closes without any warning leaving the iphone desktop in view.

The fact that the app works fine on any remote wireless network shows that the settings on the destination computer are all working well, ports, firewall etc all open.

On a different post on another forum another guy had the exact same issue but when inserting a vodafone sim worked fine as well only on Telstra did the issue occur. As previously stated Telstra happens to be the biggest 3G provider in Australia so is a bit of an issue.

Hope this is enough information at the moment.

After update stopped connecting over off site wifi, but does now connect over Telstra 3G. Local wifi also connects fine. Any ideas? I have not changed anything in settings on either the iPhone or Pc it's update related. PS very happy Telstra 3G is now working just need to resolve the off site wifi.

In your offsite wifi, does your login to gmail succeeds?

It appears to be connected as the computer is highlighted as discovered by pocket cloud with a satelite symbol and bold text. But when you try to connect it seems to time out. If I switch over to Telstra 3G it shows as discovered in the same way and does successfully connect.
