Google Login and start up

After downloading the application to my MacBook Pro, then installing and getting the initial startup window (auto login using Gmail) it launches ok. However when i exit my computer (aka cut off etc) I cannot get the program to launch at all. I have to download the program in it's entirety again and again to get the gmail login window for remote access from my tablet. What am i doing wrong? I have also "righ clicked" for "open at Login".
