invalid credentials after update

invalid credentials after update

hello, i loved this app/program and it was great...... until I had to do the update. now everytime i try and connected i get invalid credentials when i try and connect.

When i updated, i seen it erased my connection settings username/password so I put in my gmail username/password ( I assume that's the user/pass I need to put in since that's what i did last time) but everytime I try i get this invalid credentials. I ran the diagnostic pocketcloud on pc and everything was fine there, and also un/re the pocketcloud app and it autodiscovered my pc.

I tried to also just put username without the @gmail but still same probiem. Any help is greatly appreciated and just making sure but that's the user/pass I want to enter correct, my gmail user/pass?

Sorry about the troubles, hopefully I can help get you set up. You only need the gmail credentials for logging into auto-discovery (in the companion on your remote PC and within PocketCloud Settings).

Are you seeing your computer on your connections list? When you try to connect to your remote server, is this when you are prompted to enter your credentials again? If so, please take a look at the following knowledge-base article to explain what credentials to use:

Please let me know if this does not help you get connected.

Are you connecting to a Windows 8 computer? You may need to enter your Windows live account information. It is usually an email address.

There are a few reasons why you might be getting an "invalid credentials" error after updating your Dell laptop. Here are some things to check:

Make sure that you are entering the correct username and password. If you have recently changed your password, make sure that you are using the new password.
Make sure that Caps Lock is not turned on. If Caps Lock is turned on, your password will be entered in all caps, which will be invalid.
Make sure that your keyboard is working properly. Try typing your password in a different program to make sure that your keyboard is not registering the correct keys.
If you are using a Microsoft account, make sure that you are connected to the internet. You will need to be connected to the internet to log in with a Microsoft account.
If you are using a local account, make sure that the password policy on your computer has not changed. If the password policy has changed, you may need to update your password to meet the new requirements.
