P20 and 802.1x Issue

We just finished implementing 802.1x, and we are having intermittent issues with P20 devices failing to authenticate.

We have a Cisco IP Phone (model 6921) plugged into the jack at the desk and the P20 device daisy chained off of the PC port on the IP phone. Both devices are configured correctly for dot1x, but we have intermittent issues with some P20s getting a 'DHCP lease failed..Retrying...' error.
