Error code 2000-0151 (3E) on SSD
Hello. Expert opinions sought, urgently, please…
I have SSD as my Hard Drive 0-0-0 boot drive.
ePSA reveals:
- Error Code 2000-0151
- Validation 100488
- msg: Hard Drive 0 - S/N Z4N00732, incorrect status = 3E
- SMART Predictive Failure (*comment: never received any alerts before RE: SMART. Does that suggest suddenly component failure?)
Running Windows 7 off on 5 year-young XPS Minitower with excellent specs.
what do I need to do to resolve today? Thank you.

SMART STATUS Congratulations your drive is now DEAD.
Ontrack Data recovery can get your data back.
Its $350 for diagnosis and $3650 for recovery.
https://www.ontrack.com/services/data-recovery/data-recovery-quote/
they recovered the data from the space shuttle colombia hard drive. Most are however unwilling to pay to have data recovered.

1. Replace failing SSD.
2. Yeah, that's how it is ... components eventually fail.
If you find that there is:
- a firmware update for the SSD
- it still formats
- Crystal Disk-Info or Passmark SMART says it's OK, now
... you can try it again after fdisk and formatting. I suggest you Over-Provision it this time.
However, I would still move it to a lesser or unimportant role and watch it closely. First sign of trouble-again, RMA it or trash-can it.
