Filter Manager failed to attach to volume

Hello.

After reboot, i have this error in the EventViewver :

Filter Manager failed to attach to volume '\Device\HarddiskVolume8'. This volume will not be available for
filtering until a reboot. The final state was 0xC03A001C.

Because, my Windows is in French, the exact message is :
Le gestionnaire de filtres n’a pas réussi à s’attacher au volume « \Device\HarddiskVolume8 ».
Ce volume ne sera pas disponible pour le filtrage avant un redémarrage. L’état final était 0xC03A001C.

How can i solve this problem ?

Best regards

Gabriel

Always include exact PC model and version of Windows in your posts.

How many drives are connected to this PC, internal and external?

Are you running a backup automatically when you shut PC down?

See if you can ID the drive that's volume 8:

Click Search>type in: CMD and click OK. When it appears in results list, select option to Run as administrator.

When CMD opens, type in: diskpart and press Enter. At the diskpart> prompt, type in:
list volume (including the space) and press Enter. What drive is listed as volume 8? Is it an internal or external drive?

You could try disabling Windows Search and see if that stops the error messages. Click Start>Run>type in: services.msc and click OK. When services.msc opens, find Windows Search on the list. Double-click it and set its Startup Type to disabled. Don't change anything else in services.msc. Just exit and reboot. See if the error messages stop.

If the errors continue...
Click Start>Search>type in: PC and click OK. When This PC appears in the results, open it.  Highlight and right-click the drive identified above as volume 8. Select Properties and  on General tab, scroll down to bottom and uncheck the box "Allow files on this drive to have contents indexed...".  Then reboot and see if the errors stop.
