It depends on, of course like which one you get and like what specs you pick. You could go on the Dell website and find your specific and spec it out. But for me, I just went to Costco and bought a XPS8940. It has an i7-11700 and a RTX 3060TI and I bought it for like around $1600 during like the pandemic when there was like a crisis or shortages of GPUs and computer parts. Then afterwards I went back and like around that time it was discounted for 100 off. Soon after it was very discounted all the way down to $1100 to make a way for the newer XPS and I bought a couple for my family members. But the XPS system that you could find at Costco today are the ones with the i7-13700 instead of the 11700 processor and also still has the 3060TI and I’ve gone to a couple of Costco’s and the prices were different at different prices. I found a business class Dell Precision which suit all the needs and at a good price. But I haven't decide to tell them yet, because this is just the first one I looked at. I will run an analysis breakdown of Dell values so you can compare to the XPS 8900 value.
This machine has newer components which are still being sold on Dell website. For the CPU, it has x2 Xeon 4110 processors, Dell is selling it for 746 usd each (1500 for 2). For the memory, it has 32 GB of ECC memory, currently priced at 1649. For storage, it came with 1 TB of class 40 NVMe SSD, priced at 320 usd, and 512 SED drive at 200 usd. For graphics, it's outfitted with a Quadro P4000, which is discontinued but was sold at almost a thousand at Dell, but it is currently value at less than 300 at various markets. I would of purchased it if the graphics was an RTX 4000, which is needed for ray tracing.
All of the specs listed are just part of a solid 950w chassis, enterprise grade board with ability to add x2 full height, double slot graphics. A massive 768 GB memory expansion. 8 SATA ports and removeable flexbay for hot swap. Can add up to 8 NVMe solid state drives with native bifurcation. Just too long of a list to put here. The best part yet, it will cost 649 usd, which is still a bit high. See cart below.
Now, if you are a buyer, which one would you get???
@Dell Lover22 I don't know where you live, but where I live I see on craigslist.org people listing used XPS 8900s are asking for $300 to $350 (with monitor, keyboard, and mouse). By the way, Microsoft does not support Windows 11 for your CPU.
However, it is worth what someone would pay for it?
If you Google "ebay xps8900" you will see many for sale, and one as high as $750 but most are around the $350+/- range... and there probably would be a shipping charge for some as well.
The higher one I looked at had a bootable SSD and a 2TB drive, but only 32GB of RAM and a 6GB.
That's for now. The I7 CPU has not been tested (Yet) and is still ongoing.Ya cannot get me to Abandon my 8900xps just because you say it is outdated. I have another pc that was accepted for Windows 11 and it not even Close to the XPS 8900. And of course it is a Dell OptiPlex model.

Impossible to answer without a specific model number and if you are referring to a new system then Dell sales would have that information.

The Dell XPS 8900 was released in Octobe of 2015. I am not an expert on used Dell Computers, but I don't see how you could get $1,500.00 for it.

I really can't see $1.500 USD...
The drawback of not being able to put W11 on it alone lowers the price. Look at what one can buy from Dell for the same amount with Tax, https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/desktop-computers/xps-desktop/spd/xps-8950-desktop/cto8950w11padl3, and get a 1 year warranty no less not to mention better performance.
I''d doubt it would even go for $500?
However, it is worth what someone would pay for it?

However it states W11 which I don't know how that was done. First review listed says the seller scammed them as it doesn't have liquid cooling.
So, I would assume not everything listed could be there?
In any event, it is worth whatever someone is willing to pay?
