I have a XPS 8940 Motherboard 0k3CM7 A00 and want upgrade my RAM. I tried DDR4 16 GB sticks but it appears there is a compatibility issue. Do I need to stay with DDR2 8 GB sticks?

It uses DDR4 memory but it must be compatible. We suggest Crucial memory as it is guaranteed to work in a Dell.
