XPS 8300, installing adapter card with SSD

I would appreciate some help if this is possible to do. There was a Win TV card in PCI-E1_3 which I never used so I pulled it and installed an adapter M Key interface card with SSD M.2 500GB NVMe Black SN750 card.  When I went to disk management there was nothing there so I checked in device manager. I couldn't find anything listing the card. There were quite a few PCI lines in Device Manager so I am not sure which one is for PCIe-1_3. I also did a search for new hardware nothing showed up and Bios is up to date. I am running Windows 10 in my system.  I am not sure what to do. Has anyone done this before in an XPS 8300?
