XPS 8900, Audio Port specifications

The XPS 8900 has six audio sockets; four of them being speaker outputs. I have two questions:

1) Are these all for use with a Stereo 3.5mm plug rather than a Monaural 3.5mm plug?

2) Does the Centre/Woofer socket provide full frequency range sound? Normally a Woofer with Dolby 5.1 or 7.1 would have a separate feed and not Centre as the Woofer should just have filtered low-frequency audio and is the ".1" in the Dolby spec.

@Dai999  All are pairs of connections, as follows:

The center/subwoofer provides the outputs to the center and subwoofer speakers in a 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound system.  As such, they are not a stereo pair, but two separate outputs as part of the surround sound arrangement.

Thanks for the quick answer. I realise now that they must all be stereo jack sockets to support both sets of side and rear speakers. I guess to find out which wire is Centre and which is Woofer would be trial and  error for that socket.

@Dai999  This may help.  The part of the plug nearest the plastic body is the ground.
