XPS 8900, doesn't start, gets power
My Dell 8900 having startup issues, nothing happens when I press Power button. Tried testing the PSU using Built in Self Test button on the back. The light turns solid green and fun is engaged as long as Self Test button is pressed. Also tested using paper clip method, fan is engaged using this method too. I am thinking PSU doesn't seem to be the problem. I am afraid its not a dead motherboard scenario. Anyone has any ideas or faced similar situation? Please suggest.

Try replace CMOs battery with a brand new CR2032 and clear CMOs settings by jumper reset on motherboard. If this does not help, can be either bad motherboard or failed psu.
passing BIST (Built in Self Test) and paper clip test of psu do not guarantee that psu is good. If you have a spare working desktop, you can borrow its 24/4 pin ATX psu to test 8900 motherboard.
