XPS 8900, power on issue

Hi, I have XPS 8900 desktop. The problem is that every time I shut down the device, I have to press and hold the power button while I connect the power cord to the rear of pc, and in case the power cord is plugged, the PC will never turn on even if I press and hold the power button. I also changed the power cord  and nothing has changed, any idea why this problem occurs and how to fix it?

thanks.

Is your issue power on with the power button, or power off?  Proper power off is soft within Windows using shut down, and not hard way pressing button.

If power on is difficult with power button, that you have to press many times before it responds, it may be a failing psu issue.  Test pc with a different working ATX psu if possible.

I never shut down the device with the power button, but I just shut down it with the power button and when I pressed the power button to turn it on, the device responded with one press, I also noticed that even after shutting it down from the Start menu the device now responds with one press, maybe turning the device off with the power button solved that problem, Thanks for your comment that inspired me to this idea

Also if not against the site policy, do you recommend a compatible ATX PSU for xps8900 that supports 220 volts? I would like to have one as a spare part, thanks.
