XPS 8900 Upgrade

Question

Hello, I want to upgrade my desktop to run rendering software. I need a strong graphics card. They recommend an RTX 2070, AMD Radeon RX 5700XT, or better. I also want at least 32 GB of RAM. This is all I really know about PCs so I am hoping someone can give me the parts list to buy to upgrade.

I have an XPS 8900 right now with:

Intel Core i7-6700 CPU @ 3.4oGHz

Installed RAM 16 GB

Power 460 w

anything else I have no idea since it is a stock computer.

You need to upgrade psu to support more powerful graphics card. There have been many community discussions, and also many good options. If you just want one recommendation, EVGA G3 850w is good. It is enough for most graphics card need.

For ram upgrade get them from crucial guarantee to work for 8900. Get 2x16 gb or 4x8 gb.
