XPS 8930, DIMM slots
I just received a new Dell XPS 8930 When I ordered the device, I accidentally ordered 8GB of DDR4 SDRAM rather than my desired 16 GB of DDR4 SDRAM. I purchased another stick of 8 GB compatible DDR4 SDRAM and opened the box to install the stick and found that at the time of the original assembly that the OEM 8 GB stick was apparently put in DIMM 2 rather than DIMM 1. I therefore put the new 8GB stick in DIMM 4. The BIOS then booted properly on to WIndows 10. I did a Windows 10 memory check tool and found no errors. I then ran CPU-Z and confirmed that DIMM 2 and DIMM 4 had 8GB each of DDR4 SDRAM for a total of 16GB. Is this DIMM configuration for SDRAM a problem rather than the user manual recommendation of using DIMM 1 and DIMM 3 if using two sticks of SDRAM? Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I saw it but thought it was for the CPU.

Here is a youtube video that shows a picture of the the factory, default installation of two 8 gb memory modules. You can see clearly that the factory installation uses the white slots. That should help settle the question about which two slots to use when adding a second memory stick The picture of the factory installed RAM is at the 2:25 mark. The link is:
