XPS 8940 desktop, temperature issues?
Good evening, I would like to buy an xps desktop configured with i7 10700 processor, 16 gb ram, rtx2060 gpu. I've read that some complain about temperature issues. Even with this configuration? what maximum temperature was measured? during which operation? I would also like to review the opinions of satisfied users. thank you

As you know the fans are variable speed based on a PWM scheme. I doubt many use the system hard enough to kick the fans into top speed. I was concerned based on how I mounted my chassis. You need to make a decision; do you trust Dell engineers and testing procedures such that they have done accurate thermal testing on this design. The fans seem marginal but I doubt any of us have the equipment to stress the CPU cores enough for test purposes. It’s my understanding this is a new design and that alone should cause questions - like you are asking. Do your research, read the forums on changing out fans and why others have done this. I did mine just so I can sleep a little better at night.
oh, I have the same system but with a 1660 Ti graphics card.
