XPS 8940, HDD caddy?
Bought XPS 8940 and found that there is only one 2.5" HDD caddy. I am installing two HDDs. Where and how can I get one more? I called Tech Support who said I can buy from Dell Sales, and gave me a phone number. I then called Sales, she told me Dell does not sell it. I searched and searched on the web but not in success. There are similar parts, which I bought some. But dimensions are wrong because they were for other Dell PCs.

Dell Mfr Part # YHNFX worked. Just chatted with Home Sales and ordered one. Thanks.

Call Dell Tech Support at 800-999-3355 and tell them how you bought the computer to install two SSD's, but only one caddy/tray was included. They sent me a caddy next-day Fedex.

jtf1972, thanks for info. But,
Read the whole thread. I do not need to call them.

Thanks for the advice! It worked for me!
I called Dell Tech Support at 800-999-3355. I told them I planned to install two 2.5" SSD's, but only one caddy/tray was included. They located part# YHNFX. Cost of $9.99 + tax, with free shipping via FedEx. That's much less than on eBay.
Thanks again!

I simply wanted to vote for the Part #YHNFX for the 2.5" SSD caddy/carrier for use in DELL XPS 8940. I recently bought an XPS 8940 and I was little bit annoyed that although it contains slots for (2) 2.5" SSDs, only a single bracket/carrier came inside with my brand new XPS 8940.
It costs 9.99 + Taxes. For me (resident of California), the final price is 10.80 USD, which is less than the links to eBay and I am more at ease/peace of mind, knowing that I am buying a part for their XPS direct from DELL.

I have also just fitted a second 2.5" SSD in the top drive bay of my XPS 8940 to sit alongside the 2.5" drive I put in when I first bought the PC. I ordered the additional blue plastic mounting caddy (Dell part No: YHNFX) from ebay it arrived in 48 hours and it fits perfectly. Here is the link if it helps anyone price was only £9.99 equivalent to 11.50 Euros or $12.59 USD):
For DELL OEM 2.5” Hard Drive Caddy Sled For Dell Optiplex 7071 XPS 8940 YHNFX UK | eBay
By the way I think this may have been covered in other threads, but in terms of installation there is already a second SATA power cable adapter right there to use. For the SATA data connection I could have bought another cable and used the spare connection in the Motherboard (there are 4 and only 3 in use) but I opted instead to use the data cable from the Optical Disk Drive. I figured there is no way I will ever be needing to read a CD or DVD again so I just unplugged the cable from the DVD drive and plugged it into the new SSD drive data connection. It is the SATA data cable with the white connector into the Motherboard and it reaches across perfectly.
Thought I'd mention this in case it helps anyone else who may not have realized that Optical DVD drive data cable can be nicely re-used for the second disk drive.
