XPS 8960, configuration questions

So I have two XPS 8950 and had been considering an XPS 8960 to replace an aging but still working Vostro 260S.

On the XPS 8950 I was able to order a built in optical drive. That was great as I could then upgrade the drive to a 4K UHD capable bluray drive. I was also able to order liquid cooling.

On the XPS 8960, it looks like built in optical is no longer an option. Is that a temporary issue that will be changed or is this a permanent change?

Also, none of the units I looked at seem to offer liquid cooling. Is that also only temporary?

The marketing page has this video . . . but no liquid cooled option, as yet

No disrespect meant to you, but discs are legacy technology so Dell is likely leaving them off new desktops.

With that said, the 8960's have only just begun to appear. More will be introduced and some may well have an optical drive.

Hit "View Full Specs" and you'll see that the 8960's offered thus far ship with "Performance CPU liquid cooling."

Just to add...Dell is offering an optional external USB ODD for additional $50 when you order an XPS 8960.

The specs say "...two 3.5-inch hard drives" with no mention of an ODD.

The motherboard photo doesn't show a white SATA data port, which is usually intended for an ODD. But, it's odd because the specs say "two 3.5" HDDs", but the motherboard has three SATA data ports.

So unless two 2.5" HDDs can be squeezed into one drive bay (or a third drive can be mounted elsewhere) and used with a SATA Y-cable power splitter, why would it need three SATA data ports...?

It is interesting that an important selling point such as CPU AIO liquid cooling is not highlighted in the customization options but instead buried in the minutia.
