AC Adapter not installed - no fixes work
XPS 15 7590
My computer runs off the AC, but will not charge battery. hen I hit F2 during start-up, it says "ac adapter: not installed".
Tried disconnecting battery and draining capacitor. Tried uninstalling battery and AC adapter driver. Tried forcing a BIOS update. Problem exists on DELL chargers for both power port and USB-C. (Tried multiple chargers.) I have run for weeks with battery declining about -2% per day Down to 31%.
PLEASE HELP.

If you already tested both, power port and USB-C port, with known working genuine Dell chargers, the problem lies with the motherboard.

I am running on AC. AC works. Battery doesn't charge. Battery did last a month, but is at 2%.
When I F2 during restart, the battery status says 'AC adapter not installed".
I have updated the bios. I tried disconnecting the battery and reconnecting. I tried uninstalling the battery and AC controller drivers.
Please help.

@Tommyfastball , no charging issue is caused by one of three things: AC charger, battery, or DC power jack. You have ruled out the charger and power jack, then only the battery is left. You may want to replace the battery as it is at failing age.
Based on your troubleshooting results and system BIOS could not detect any of the chargers, likely the issue is with the motherboard. To fix that, you will need to replace the motherboard.
Note: I just realize that you are creating duplicated postings for the same issue.

I am having an issue with "AC adapter not installed". Eventually the battery went to 0% and computer would not boot.
I removed the battery and the computer boots and works. But it seems to be running on EXTREMELY slow speed. (Cannot even play videos.)
How can I make the computer run on "full" performance with the battery disconnected?
Thanks!

@Chino de Oro The battery worked for almost a month losing only 1-2% per day. The computer just doesn't want to charge it. When I F2 during reboot, it says "AC adapter not installed".
I really don't think it's the battery.

Also, I had this problem for a few days traveling. When I got home and used the USB-C charger, it charged OK. But then it stopped charging, again.

I own two laptop computers of the same model: Vostro 15 3000.
One of the laptop's power adapters broke, so I bought 2 AC adapters, a new 65W from Dell and a used 45W.
But they are not recognized by the computers.
The connection is detected, but the Dell Power Manager shows the following error message.
BIOS shows AC Adapter "Not installed" for both of them.
The first AC Adapter is working fine, so the computers should have no issue.
I tested 4 patterns of power connection on BIOS and the results are as follows:
Could you advise on how to make the laptops recognize the new AC adapters?
