AC Adapter Not Installed

My laptop suddenly stopped charging.
I have no idea what to do. Here’s all the info I have in screenshots. P.s. I ordered a replacement charger and it didn’t help.

Basically 3 things can cause an adapter not to be detected. The adapter is defective though you replaced the adapter (was it a genuine Dell OEM adapter). A bad DC jack on the laptop, or a bad motherboard (on the charging circuit). You can try a reset by disconnecting the battery and the adapter. Then hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Then reconnect everything and try again. But assuming the replacement adapter is a Dell then I would look into replacing the DC jack. Parts-People here have those DC jacks, but I cannot point you to the exact page since you did not post the exact model of your system.

JOcean covered it, aside from physical damage to the Charger tips, by far the most common failure is the DC Jack/cable assembly inside the Laptop. A replacement is like $10 if you look it up for your model, and about 30 minutes for a complete novice to replace with a #1 phillips screwdriver and the service manual on Dell's support site for your model.

Basically the charging jacks tend to break internally, making the charger and laptop unable to communicate. Symptoms are no charging, minimum performance states and charger unrecognized messages in BIOS and OS.
