active pen pn579x not working
Hi,
I used my pen stylus pn579x intensively for 2 years with a dell xps 9575, with not always excellent but quite good performance. It has been running 1 in 3 for some time now. The input skips continuously, drawing dots instead of lines. I have replaced the batteries with new ones several times to no avail. I also tried a different stylus which worked perfectly. Is it possible that my pen has reached the end of its life? Any suggestions to solve the problem?

Under Windows, go to
Settings, System, About -- to see what it says under Pen and Touch
What description shows there?

I start to get the same feeling. I am in contact with Dell support, but no solution so far. Unfortunately, I do not have any other pen to test to make 100% sure it's not anything else. I am a bit worried it might be something with the display, as the pen cuts out always in the same spots and I can't actually write anything in those areas, ever.
More details on my issue in another thread: https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/Wonky-wobbly-lines-when-drawing-with-Active-Pen-on-Dell-XPS-13-2/m-p/7775304#M76231

I replied to you in the other thread - I'm fairly certain it's the screen.
