If your Dell laptop's Alt and Alt Gr keys are malfunctioning, try running the keyboard troubleshooter, updating your keyboard drivers, or resetting your keyboard layout. You might also consider checking for physical issues with the keys themselves.

1. Run the Keyboard Troubleshooter:
Navigate to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Troubleshooter".
Click on "Keyboard" and then "Run the troubleshooter".
Follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Update Keyboard Drivers:
Open "Device Manager" (search for it in the Start Menu).
Expand "Keyboards".
Right-click on your keyboard and select "Update driver software".

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them.  Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.
