Battery shows 0% available, plugged in
This is an XPS 13 9350.
I recently replaced the battery with a new OEM dell battery. Verified correct part number.
It was working initially, but I've now noticed that while sitting on the charger, the battery meter indicates "0% available (plugged in"). I did the BIOS check, and the battery aspect fails / gives an error message.
I tried removing the battery and holding down the power button for 20 sec, then putting it back in. That seemed to fix it, but it was only temporary and now the problem has returned.
If I unplug the computer it stays on, but warns me that there's 0% battery left.
Any suggestions on what I can do next? Could the battery be faulty?
Edit: I did the online Dell component diagnostics thing, and it gives me a "battery failure" message. Says to replace battery. Maybe the battery I got was faulty?

You can run the following command to give you more information on the battery.
powercfg /batteryreport /output %USERPROFILE%\Downloads\BatteryRpt.html
Open a Command Prompt window using "Run as administrator". Copy and paste the above command and execute it. A report will be generated in your "Downloads" folder which you can open in your browser.
