Deleted UEFI boot option in BIOS
I have accidently (stupidly) deleted a UEFI entry in the boot options list of the BIOS, The Windows boot loader is still present and working but there was another entry with a name someting like "UEFI RST PC THNSN5512GPUK NVMe ......", this is the one I have deleted. I am not sure what it does but I assume it should be there and has a purpose. How can I recreate it? The machine is a Dell XPS 13 9360 running Windows 10 and is full updated, the BIOS are version 2.20.0. When in the BIOS menu I see an option to add a boot option, if I click on that there are 3 fields, 'Boot Option Name', 'File System List', and 'File Name'. There is already an entry in the File System List that I think points to the start of the EFI partition on the hard drive which I suspect is correct for the deleted boot option, but I do not know what to put in the 'Boot Option Name' field, (does this have a formal structure) and I have no idea what to put in the 'File System List' field. If I click on the 3 dots at the side there are a number of folders and files within these , but I do not know what to use and should I select an existing file in the appropriate folder or create a new one? I have very little understanding of the BIOS system but would really appreciate some help! The whole SSD has been restored from a recent verified system image including the EFI partition so should be OK.
I attach some photos which may be of use.

The procedure for manual entry is here:

Thanks 7 Thorium. I think my problem is deeper as when I followed these instructions where it tells me not to enter a file name in the 'File Name' box of the 'Add Boot Option' window but just hit return, I get an error "File path or name not found". I wonder if this means the field is mandatory now or that the default file is missing.

If it's a default Dell install, it should be set to boot from the windows boot manager -- click the View button and you should look for the file called
\EFI\Boot\bootx64.efi

OK, thanks again. I have set up an option using the file \EFI\Boot\bootx64.efi and saved it. I then tried to boot the machine using this option and it started to boot but then finished with a blue screen, nothing further happened.
Perhaps it may help if I explain how this situation occurred. I have been using this machine for some time with Fedora linux but decided to reinstall Windows 10 so I started the laptop on a bootable USB stick with the boot software for my backup software (Macrium Reflect) then did an image restore from a verified backup made before Fedora was installed. This worked fine but when I went into the BIOS I saw some entries in the boot list for the old Fedora system (Fedora and Fedora update) so I deleted these, it was then that the UEFI entry also disappeared. Fedora was installed without windows using the full disk.
I have a Dell XPS 9305 laptop running Windows 11 which is unchanged from from Dells boot configuration, that has the two boot options - Windows Boot Manager and the UEFI...... option. Unfortunately I cannot see a way to 'view' the configuration of the boot options on that system, but both options boot Windows 11.

Hey, I think what ejn63 is telling is to add it back, and that I guess its the same as restoring it, you already have the details you need just follow the steps in the link he sent and put in the details you took pictures of with. I had the same problem and just added it back
it had path \EFI\Boot\BootX64.efi
and device was:
partition=\Device\HarddiskVolume1
Good luck!
