DELL 9560 Warranty Extend
Hi guys,
These days, I was wondering whether I want to extend my warranty for XPS9560. I bought this two year ago through a refurbished deal in the US. Is it worth to extend my warranty for this laptop?
If I extend the warranty, I have an idea to upgrade my laptop, for example: replacing my screen with 4k panel, replacing the 97-watt battery and remove the faulty hinge. Will these actions void my upcoming warranty? Or, will Dell provide those service for me?

First thing to do is check whether it's an option to extend your warranty. This model could be as old as four years, and generally manufacturers won't extend warranties that far from the date of manufacture. If you can extend it, expect a $400 charge if not more for just a year's extension (and that won't cover the battery).
Dell won't upgrade the screen, but they will replace the battery or replace the hinge. You're likely to find the cost lower with a local computer shop than with Dell -- like most of the major manufacturers, it's a per-service charge; most local shops charge hourly labor, which is cheaper.
