Dell D6000 dock randomly disconnects
I am facing some issues with the Dell D6000. The dock will disconnect randomly. I am not really sure why and it keeps happening even after a clean Windows 10 install.
I am using the D6000 with my XPS 15 7590. I use two Dell U2518 monitors. Both were connected through the minidisplayport, but the problems are the same when I use one mDP and the HDMI connection the laptop.
All drives on my laptop are updated through Windows Update and Dell SupportAssist. I also updated the Displaylink drivers from their website.
Mayby there are overheating problems, but it's hard to know because it will also happen when it's relatively cold.
What I noticed is that I cannot update the dock completely. When I run the A03 update I always see that GL Hub 1 is not updated. All other parts are updated.
I've update the firmware as instructed using the USB-A connector and without any other devices attached to the D6000 or the laptop.
Could this be the source of the problem and how do I solve this?

I made an USB fan from an old AMD stock cooler fan and directed it towards the D6000. It's much cooler now and no restarts anymore. So the D6000 is overheating which results in the disconnects.

As you can see in the screenshot I (tried) to install the latest A03 firmware.
I've disconnected the extra fan for a while and the dock disconnected again. There were no disconnects when I used the extra fan. So it looks like there is an overheating issue. Below the D6000 with extra fan.
Room temperature doesn't have any recognizable effect.
