Dell Precision M6400 Not turning on

My Dell Precision M6400 has ram and the fans spin up but nothing shows up on the display

The fan's try to spin but it doesn't spin. I thought it would be bad memory so I tried each memory stick on it's own in both slots at a time. Didn't work. I had both of them in before

Tried on main power because battery has one Blue light when I press the battery checker. So I think it has battery in it

Only one of the fan's spin's for 3 seconds. The other fan moves for 1 sec then it just goes back to where it was before

Were you able to get your laptop fixed?

To me, it sounds like its failing at the POST. Unless any of the components are newer, I would start by replacing the RAM with a new stick and start with just one stick. Also try reseating the video card and CPU. While you have it all the way apart, clean it out really good and get rid of any dust build up and apply fresh thermal paste.
If it still fails to POST, then its likely a bad motherboard.

Hope that helps and I hope you're able to get your laptop up and running. I have one that I fixed and upgraded. Its an excellent machine for its age.

Best of luck.

I tried doing all that last night but I gave up trying to fix it and I just threw it away. Worthless piece of junk
