Can someone tell my what the recovery partition is used for? My Dell came with Windows 10 and the partition is 4,7gb and only 500mb in use.

You can use the recovery partition to restore the system back to the way it was when you first received it. The following Dell support page explains more about the use.

Is this the original configuration of the drive or have you cloned or changed the original drive?
I don't remember a setup with a 4.7 GB recovery partition. Could you get us a snipping tool picture of your drive or tell us all the partitions size and designations on your drive? I don't have any recent systems, not within the last year, so the configuration may have changed on your system.

How can I restore my laptop when my OS was replaced with a Windows 10 Enterprise? It was installed by formatting the C partition leaving the recovery partition intact. But I don't see any way how I can restore my pre installed OS. For my Lenovo laptop I can boot into a special restore mode from a recovery partition.
