Dell Windows Updates For XPS 15 9520?

Have a dell xps 15 9520 with windows 11 pro.  Seems like every few weeks or so, i get a notification on the bottom right that says to restart windows for update.  If you click on the update, it tells you what will be updated and even gives you an approximate time of how long it would take... example 6 minutes etc.  When i see this message of windows update, i always click on restart to update now... or wait till the end of day and then restart it.  Now i know there is option to schedule the update but how many days max can you delay it?  Is it 3 days or not?  Now what if you ignore update and shutdown and do that the next few days?  No issue?  Any chance it would then suddenly restart after many days if you just don't update it?  That is the reason why i always restart it when there is that message or at the end of the day.

So the recent update, it showed a dell firmware update.  Have done many of these updates and it updates your bios each time.  This is very important right?  The other times it would show the update as some other driver but again, i do the update when it's there or at the end of the day.  So that is how you suppose to do it right?

My other question is i do have dell update app but i never do any of those updates.  Those are not necessary right?  So only pay attention to the windows update restart alerts on the bottom corner?  Example did a scan with dell updates and it shows a few critical updates and several recommended.  Are those critical necessary or not?  They seem to be
