DELL XPS 15 7590 BLURRY CAMERA ISSUE

Hello Dell Community,

I've recently bought a brand new DELL XPS 15 7590 and must say it was one of the best decisions I've made. That said, however, I've been having trouble with the webcam attached to the system. The camera is blurry and seeing that it's been this way for over a month, my concerns are growing.

If someone has a solution to this problem then please advise me accordingly. The computer is under warrantee until the 15th of October 2021.

Thanks.

Had similar issue with new machine Feb 2021; Zoom friends noted camera images were not good. Dell Tech Support folk gave guidance for multi-step delete/reinstall camera driver. Couple days later, friends reported good improvement. Tech advice was:

Step 1: Check camera in BIOS.

  • Turn off your system.
  • Tap on the F2 key while powering on the system to load the BIOS page.
  • Now on the BIOS page, under Settings, select System Configuration and click on Miscellaneous Devices and check whether camera is enabled or not if enabled please disable and enable….

Step 2: Re-install Camera drivers.

If camera is detected in BIOS, kindly re-install the drivers.

1.On the taskbar, click the search box, and then type Device Manager.

2.Click Device Manager.
The Device Manager window is displayed.
3.Expand Camera Imaging Devices.
4. Right click and uninstall.

Restart the computer, so that the drivers will get installed automatically.”
