Is the Dell XPS 17 compatible with the Wacom Bamboo Ink Plus Pen?

That would be an XPS 9700 -- and while it is a touchscreen system, what it doesn't have is a digitizer. You'll have to check with Wacom about compatibility, but even if that pen works (as should Windows ink), you won't get precision writing or drawing (i.e., no pressure sensitivity). The system lacks the digitizer necessary to support full writing capability.

There's no real advantage to using a relatively expensive Wacom pen even if it will work -- a cheap, generic touchscreen stylus will work just fine.

You will have to be more specific ... which XPS-17. Good question because AFAIK ... just because a Dell laptop has a touchscreen does NOT mean it also supports a capacitive stylus/pen.

Identify your Dell:

Go into your BIOS.

Power-on the system and start tapping the F2 key to enter System Setup.

In Windows:

Hold down the” Windows “key and tap the “R “key.

Then type msinfo32 and hit enter.
