Dell XPS 9130 sound issues

About a month ago my computer updated the audio driver, and ever since the sound has been lagging. I open a YouTube video, for example, and it takes like 30 seconds for the video to start. If I mute the video, then it plays with no problems. It is very annoying, because if I pause the video to do something else and then press play again it needs to reload. This is happening with every website. It also happens with other browsers or playing music. Also, when I open the MaxxAudio app it takes more than a minute to start up and shows a black screen first. Does anyone else have this problem?
