Dell XPS 9550 RAM upgrade

Hi,

I would like to upgrade ram from on my 9550.

As per this https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/Dell-XPS-15-9550-64GB-2x32GB-2666-MHz-memory-upgrade/td-p/7572388 maximum I could go for in 32GB x 2

But I would like to just get on 32GB ram and install it. Can I keep 32GB along with existing RAM?

I'm thinking of

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07ZLC26HY/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=sl1&tag=techchap-21&linkId=7d5a25a29cda47605b0ef6e6b3ef1ce8&language=en_GB&th=1

or https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-2666MHz-Memory-Computers-M471A4G43MB1/dp/B07N124XDS/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=M471A4G43MB1&qid=1607708257&sr=8-1 (I could get this on Ebay for a bit cheaper)

Thank you.

Official support: no, you cannot.  Memory max is 2x16.

What you want to do may or may not work - so be sure you understand the seller's restock/return fee policy if you decide to try a 32G soDIMM.

Make sure the existing RAM is one soDIMM - if it's two, you'll have to remove one to upgrade no matter what you install.
