Dell XPS L421x Screen

Hi All,

I have a Dell XPS L421x.  The screen or glass has cracked and I wish to replace it.  I Have two questions.

1.  Was there a touchscreen option for this laptop?

2. I have come across on ebay :

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DELL-XPS-14-L421X-Display-XYH93-Touch-Screen-Digitizer-14/264993007090?hash=item3db2d065f2:g:sgMAAOSwMdpfku2f

Would this be compatible with my L421x?

Any guidance will be welcome.

Thanks.

Yes, a touch screen was optional and that looks like the correct part.

Windows 10 is fully touch-enabled so it should pick up the new hardware and install any necessary support drivers.

So should Windows 8.1.

Anything earlier likely needs a driver - but is unsupported at this point, so should not be in use.
